LAPA Summit: Parks are an Essential Public Service

This spring, more than 120 community activists, agency leaders, labor leaders, elected officials, park professionals, urban planners, medical and safety experts, and sports advocates discussed what the future will hold for Los Angeles parks. The Parks Summit – and four community workshops leading up to the March 18 gathering – reaffirmed public support for public recreation, even during tough economic times.
